A subject that is near & dear for many of us, whether we choose to speak of it aloud or not.

How can Life be easier?

Why does it have to be so hard?

The answer is: it doesn’t.

Greetings!

Yes, indeed, dear ones, it is both Allowed & allowed to be easy.

There are no Hardness Police ‘up’ here, watching & waiting to make sure you have suffered enough before permitting things to become easy.

(Tho’ there are sometimes some in your head, however.)

You are the ultimate source of your hard.

But this is much better (and easier!) than it sounds.

For just as you are the one to create your hard, so too are you the one to dissolve it, and allow things to be easy.

Two things first, before we go into some of the hows around allowing things to be easy.

One. This has nothing to do with where you’re starting in life, or with your current circumstances.

You can have things being both easy & hard at any level of privilege or income.

Two. Allowing it to be easy does not mean that you escape having to do the work around achieving your desires.

Even if you choose to ‘cheat’ by learning how to achieve these ends through psychic-based means, you still have to do the work of learning/remembering how to do that.

However, having said that, you are certainly both allowed & encouraged to have help.

And that is one of the biggest suggestions I can offer you around allowing it to be easy: expand yourself to where you can receive help.

Human, Guide, physical world or Otherworld, for these purposes it does not matter.

•    Expand your worldview to allow help from Otherworldly sources, and in ways that are not yet common to your world.
•    Expand your attitude to allow help from your own world, your own people, both human & otherwise.

An easy way to do this expansion is by visuallizing the thing you wish to expand as a close-fitting mesh structure around your body.

Then as you breathe, picture the spaces between the meshes increasing with every breath, whether in-breath or out-breath makes no difference. Choose whichever one makes more sense to you.

When you have opened the meshes as far as you feel you can for this time, then bring yourself back to the everyday world, while leaving the larger-sized mesh in place.

When you feel ready to expand that area again, go back & repeat the process, each time further increasing the amount of space between the meshes.

Macros

What are they?

How do they relate to this ‘letting it be easy’ thing???

Psychic Macros, like the computer kind, are about achieving a larger goal, with a shorter, possibly-tho’-not-necessarily-symbolic, symbol or command.

In the recent Open MommaCat Chat, we spoke a bit about the use of macros in self-expanding/improving work.

Such as having a mental cork-board for pinning things you wish to put on pause while you take a break.

Such as a URL-bookmarking system for authors, so they can help keep track of their Universes by bookmarking their ‘location’.

Such as a big, mental ‘RESET‘ button for those times you find yourself in need of resetting your mood, energy, or attitude.

To create a mental macro, you simply choose your desired result & the symbol you want to attach to it.

Then equate the two things in your mind (perhaps with a big, mental ‘equal sign’ thusly: symbol = result), and then let them go.

That’s it.

Unlike the computer kind, for these you don’t have to know the intervening steps.

Simply trust that the connection was made, and allow that to be a truth for you.

On ‘Cheating’

Closely connected to this is the concept of ‘cheating’.

Now we are not talking about cheating as a moral transgression here.

No, in this sense we are talking about cheating in the sense of stepping sideways around some of the physical laws of your Universe.

There is (much!) more to say on this later, but for now, simply suffice it to say that such things do exist, do happen, and there is not a thing wrong with that!

For example: one day Birdy was working on a crocheted chunk of a blanket for one of her Blanket University projects, a rectangle whose theme was ‘Teamwork’.

This particular stitch was complicated, it was getting late, and she was really looking forward to being done with it.

Then, as she surveyed the completed rectangle, she saw it.

An important mistake several rows back. (In other words, not one easily ignored.)

She sighed, ripped back to before the mistake, and started to crochet again, not happy about the re-do, but determined that it would get done.

Then I put my metaphorical paw (and energetic claws!) in.

All Birdy saw was a bit of a ripple in the air around her project, and all she felt was a sense of a bit of a disjoint in the world. When the world steadied again, her piece was redone.

Three rows of crocheting had mysteriously appeared out of thin air.

She had a sudden vision of metaphorical claws delicately hooking through yarn, and that is a truth. :>

Now I did this to prove a point to her, that such things ARE real, and that Teamwork is taken as a sacred task by those of us who chose this role.

Please don’t get the idea that we Guides will step in every time there is a minor problem: we won’t. You come here to experience Life, after all, and it is neither our place nor our desire to deprive you of that.

However, being open to the idea of such help and sufficiently comfortable with the idea so as to allow it to be a reality for you, should it occur, allows for the Universe to sneak in in whatever guise and help you to ‘cheat’.

Nothing says it has to be hard, except you.

So allow it to be easy!!

On Going with the Flow

One important way that you can allow things to be easy is by opening yourself up to the Flow of things and following it.

Open yourself up to the Universe.

Hear what it is telling you.

Listen & follow the flow.

What is easy to do right now?

What feels in the Flow?

Now this may take some getting used to at first, but the more you open up and learn to trust yourself to know what is truly best for you at any given moment, the easier you will find it to stay in the Flow & move forward.

On Not Going with the Flow

Now one thing that is very important to understand about going with the Flow is to understand where the Flow is coming from and why.

Flow that is you following your intuition & your Inner/Underneath Knowing is very, very good.

But there is another kind, one that can be very damaging if not recognized for what it is.

And that is the Flow of other people’s expectations.

It often happens in terms of health: “You’ll be dead in six months!” or “You’ll give yourself a stroke living like that!”

It can occur many other places as well: jobs, marriage/relationships, etc., any place there is that potential for being caught in the energy of another’s expectations.

The important thing here is to be aware of them, so that you can take protective measures.

One way is to picture yourself as glowing bright energy, and the expectations as cords attaching themselves to you, draining off that energy.

Gently detach those cords and let them fall away from you.

They’ve nothing to do with you. :>

On Worthiness

Since this is often relating to those expectations, a brief bit on worthiness, tho’ again, there is much more to add for another time.

The biggest & most important thing to understand about worthiness is:

You are.

You don’t have to ‘earn’ anything.

Although you may have to work for it, those are not the same things.

Earning is about merit.

Working is about achievement.

The only merit you need is that you have come here.

The work you have to do depends on what you want to achieve.

Explore, Experiment, & Implement, oh, my! :>

Finally, allowing it to be easy means freeing yourself to explore.

To experiment.

To implement.

Being easy means that you free yourself to try something.

If it works, wondrous well.

If it doesn’t work, you’re free to try something else, without shame or blame.

And that, dear ones, is enough for now.

In the last little while, the Science Channel has been running a two part  series with the above name. This is a show about a possible first contact scenario.

For those who have not seen it – yet; the first part has the SETI Institute receiving a signal that turns out to be a real first contact signal from an actual ET Intelligence. And the aftereffects of what then happens in the coming weeks both at the SETI Institute as the scientists figure out more of the signal; as well as the public’s reaction after it gets into the media.

The second part is about what happens when it is found out by the scientists that ET is coming, and they will be here in three months!

Overall; I was impressed by the show. Not because I agree with their scenario – I don’t. But, because this is one of the few shows based on this subject that does not immediately go into panic mode with the thought of meeting the various ET types that are out there.

That it seriously refreshing all by itself.

Me and Birdy saw the show on March 23, 2012 and we’ve been discussing it ever since. And out of that conversation, we decided that I should write about it; and that I give my (our) ideas on what we think First Contact really will be like.

If you have been looking over our site, you will notice that we are psychic channels, and are into all kinds of psychic functioning. Ever since we took formal training in channeling during 2008, we have been asking our guides about other intelligent life in the Universe; and can we talk with them?

The answer was yes. And we have been.

We have been ‘talking’ with quite a few different ET types, and the story we have been getting is very consistent. But, how and when do we get our story out there? Looking over the internet, we see a lot of fear-based stuff.

Frankly, the panic over this subject is amazing to us. People do reflect their fears onto the Universe, don’t they?

But, how do we get our story ‘out there’ without attracting every nutcase to our site?

So, we decided to take a lesson from this show: Do this in a reasonable non-panic manner; and approach this subject in an attitude of curiosity – not panic. One thing that we learned from our Guides is that fear does not stand in the face of curiosity. Besides, in WordPress, it is easy to delete people. And our site in NOT a democracy – enough said?

OK. You are saying, just what is this consistent story?

I’m glad you asked.

All right, back to 2008. I had always thought there was something to the UFO phenomenon, and as an amateur astronomer, I can feel the infinity of the Universe. There are views where just about everything in the eyepiece view are Galaxies – most larger than our own. You look at that view (the Virgo Supercluster – how big is it? Our Galaxy is an outlying member!) and tell me that we are alone in the Universe! We probably are not even alone in this Solar System!

One of the reasons I learned to channel is because channeling is like getting an unlimited library pass to the Universe. I had questions; and I wanted answers!

In those days, I had two Guides, Monodon and Adalta, who I practiced channeling with. Back then, I had built a mental structure around it that Monodon was the Guide I channeled verbally with. And Adalta was the Guide I channeled through writing. The truth of the matter was that both could do either one just fine – they were more flexible mentally than I was.

One of those structures, that is true for me to this day, is that written channeling is easier for me to bring across complex, more difficult things like names and words, even pictures. If something is really difficult, the written channeling method is still my ‘go to’.

One day back in 2008, I was practicing by myself, so I brought Adalta in, got out my notebook, and started to ask Adalta questions. And those questions were about what I considered the biggest mystery of our age.

Since I was still new to channeling, most of my questions were yes/no ones. I must have asked a hundred questions, and the story started to piece together.

Our Guides were as eager as we were for us to follow this line of research. Through them, we got in contact with actual ET’s. Then, one day, Birdy’s Guide, Bennedetto, taught us Guided Telepathy (GT).

I talk about GT elsewhere. But, the main advantage to it is that the Guide is the conduit. Therefore, there is no trouble with losing your identity, that can happen without that protection. And with the Guide there, if there is any intent to deceive – we know about it. Plus, we know for sure – at least as sure as you are going to be in any kind of psychic functioning – who we are talking to. If somebody does pretend to be someone else, we know about that too. So, we can safely communicate with non Guide level entities, and be reasonably confident about the results we are getting. And if not – know why.

What Is Going On

First, a word about numbers. I’m not entirely sure why, but in any kind of psychic functioning; numbers are the absolute hardest thing to bring across accurately. What numbers I do give here should only be considered an approximation. So, if I say 5,000 years ago. You think – a long time ago. OK? I’m pretty sure it’s within an order of magnitude (not 50,000), but beyond that…

The current batches of ET’s started showing up in the Sol system about 5,000 years ago (remember what I said in the last paragraph – think a long time ago). They are merely the most recent group.

There have been others, at different times, dating back – as far as I know – to almost a billion years ago. That includes those that created the human race originally. Little is known about them, but, they have left behind archaeological evidence (there is archaeological evidence on Mars, not to mention other places – maybe Earth????). At least that is what our friends of the current group say.

OK. Back to the current group.

At first, the ET’s interacted with the natives. So some of the ancient astronaut theories out there are based in fact – not all – but some. Then  there came a time when it was decided that they needed to go into hiding, otherwise they would adversely effect the natives natural evolution.

They didn’t leave!

They merely went underground. They kept watch on our progress, but did it in such a way that the natives – us – didn’t know about it.

Technology, Speculation and Scientists

My main criticism of the two shows was the fact that they were way too conservative in their estimate of the ET’s technology. Like that solar sail; NASA is working on that technology now!

I have never been able to figure out the reason. But, scientists and Sci-fi writers as a breed tend to be absolutely terrible at speculating about future technologies.

A lot of people had grandparents who had been born before the airplane was invented. In the past century alone, we went from the horse and buggy to the modern transportation systems. From the slide rule and the abacus to the modern computers we have today.

In this society we live in, we have gotten used to advances and revolutions in science to the point that we don’t think twice about it when we hear of such things. Are we supposed to believe that science will stop advancing? That there will be no future revolutions in science? I don’t. And I don’t expect that you do either.

What is so hard to believe about faster than light starships? I know; we do not yet have that science. I realize that. And I know that the speed of light is the speed limit within these three dimensions that we live in. But, the last I looked, scientists do say that there are more than three dimensions. There has got to be ways around that ‘law’.

And our ‘friends’ say that they first visited the Sol System in such ships thousands of years ago.

We Paranormal Avians joke that history doesn’t happen in a vacuum or a toaster. But neither does science. Totally ignoring UFOlogy and the at least circumstantial evidence from the ancient alien theories is being myopic to an extreme. Believing everything everybody tells you isn’t science. But, neither is ignoring evidence merely because it doesn’t fit your worldveiw, or it makes you uncomfortable. That isn’t science either.

I like what SETI stands for – I really do. But, my second real criticism about the show is the insistence that a sufficiently advanced ET species is still going to be using radio. In my opinion, that is more than a little bit ridiculous.

Why?

One: Limited by the speed of light. Want to chat with your friends, and they are 1,200 light years away? You had better be VERY patient. And long lived.

Two: Inverse square law. Every time your radio signal goes a particular distance, the power of that signal goes down by 1/4th. That signal gets very weak in a hurry.

Three: Matter absorbs radio waves. Your signal hits something in an intervening distance – it stops right there. Depending upon the size of the object, of course. Either way, it weakens the signal.

Four: Interference. There is a lot of radiation in this Galaxy. Enough that your signal will either be lost, or so garbled as to be useless. Unless you are very, very lucky.

Psychic communication has no such problems. And you can bet that ET with superior science has figured out a better solution.

But, one of the good points made in the show is that a sufficiently advanced culture will study us first before making the first move (or Contact!). That being said, they know we are at the radio stage; therefore, they might use radio from closer in.
We actually agree on something. Hurray!!!!!

We know that the current group has been studying and learning about us for a long time. And it would make sense that if a group has a choice – they will choose to study and learn first; before first contact. One thing the sci-fi writers do get right is that accidental meetings between two totally different groups has a very big potential for misunderstandings.

So, the study and learn plan that they have is a good one. And a sign that they mean us no harm.

While on that subject – given the differences in technology and science – if they meant us harm, that would have happened long ago. Our Guides are the very best lie detectors there are. If there was intent to deceive, we would know about it. They really are quite friendly.

Personally, I’m looking forward to meeting our as-yet-unseen-friends.

Stay alert – they tell us that First Contact will happen ‘soon’!

Greetings!

So now that Radio Silence has been broken, what next?

A quick sum-up of the Journey that led us here seems in order.

:> :>

Mike & I, by way of a wandering journey, made our way to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in October, 2005.

And, in what seemed like a cruel set of circumstances, the dying started shortly thereafter.

• My cat Simba, three days after we got here.
• My mom, on December 25th. (Symbolic, but it took a LONG TIME to realize all the aspects of that.)
• My beloved Siamese, Coconut, in March, 2006.

I was a wreck.

Then Jacob entered the picture.

A Guide, (or group of Guides?), channelled by Judy Crookes, he (or they) helped me heal, and, along the way, learn a better way of living.

They also introduced Mike & me to our As-yet Unseen Friends.

The first time was very early in our acquaintance. During the meditation that closed the session, Jacob introduced us to members of his other classes.

Now one very important thing to understand is that Jacob & Judy have an arrangement  where she is his (or their) only human channel.

So, by definition & by the description in the meditation, these other students were not human.

I didn’t have the focus to hone in – I only saw the mental image of someone waving from the surface of another world – but I know that they were beings from another world.

That was the first meeting.

Later, we would be introduced to some of our other
Pepperoni, our other soul-selves living concurrent lives to ours, and again, many of them wear other skins than human.

I met Ermalee, she of the friendly nature and the retractable limbs, in a Jacob meditation much later in the program, somewhere around 2010.

And along the way, we learned to channel, and then were given the concept of Guided Telepathy, by our own Guides – a technique which makes it much safer to talk with physical-level beings.

And then the real fun began!

Everywhere we turned, it seemed, there was someone new & wondrous to talk to.

Mike is writing down some of the Journey in his post, which will be coming up soon, but here are some of the highlights:

• While doing a Sun-blessing suggested by a local shaman, I said ‘Hi!’ to our Sun, not expecting anything in return.

Imagine my surprise when I heard a distinct, in-my-head, ‘Hi!’ back.

• Reading a post by the creator of Dojo Psi, about her experiences with the moon-planet Ganymede, led us to our own explorations & conversations with Ganymede.
• During an exhausting trip to the East Coast to help a friend get married, we were contacted by a colony of ghosts living in Mystic, Connecticut.

In talking with them, we started to be contacted by others as well, and in so doing, learned that not every ghost who stays is lost. :> :>

• We talked with some of the fairies who live in our yard and answered one of the trees when it politely inquired what we were doing with its shed leaves as we raked.
• We talked to beings who live in some of the quartz crystals we’ve bought for resale.

And then there were our Extra-Terrestrial Friends.

I’ll have to look back in our notes to see, but somewhere along the line, I had a dream.

A test of character, as it turned out.

Apparently, I passed, because shortly after that, we began speaking with members of what we, being proper Trekkies as well as channels & psychic explorers, call the Federation.

They are a group of economically-allied worlds, somewhere around 250 in number (numbers like these should always be interpreted as loose, being notoriously tricksy to bring across).

Like Roddenberry’s Federation, they have solved many, tho’ not all, of the major problems. :>

A basic living that is a real subsistence-level living, not this scary slum-life we consign our people to here, is available for all.

Opportunity truly is there for those who wish to reach for it.

You do the work, you get somewhere, in the Federation.

For realz.

That said, it’s not a utopia. People still choose to not live to their fullest potential.

Not every problem has been solved.

But many of the problems we find ourselves faced with here HAVE.

Population, pollution, local scarcity of resources, all of those have been solved long since.

Worlds have the autonomy to live as they will, however, if they wish to have the benefits of Federation membership, they need to subscribe to a framework for interaction, rather like the United Nations here on Earth. (Except with a lot more clout & getting a lot more good stuffs accomplished.)

From everything we’ve learned, it seems like a good place to live.

The Fly in the Ointment

In the course of conversation, we, inevitably, brought up the subject of the Grey Ones and the predilection by some for kidnappings, etc.

Recently, we’ve been having this conversation again, with the conclusion that there are no good conclusions we can reach at this time, so we are suspending judgement until we get further facts.

Back in the day, I had no such qualms, and was starting to build up a real head of steam against the Grey Ones.

And then I heard the voice in my head.

“Hey! We’re not all like that!”

Much chastened, I inquired after the voice, and found out that it belonged to T’lerion, a Grey One who is a linguist and scholar of extra-planetary languages.

We’ve had many good conversations since, trading bits of knowledge about our respective species.

He taught me a good lesson that morning: Remember that species, ALL species, contain INDIVIDUALS.

And if you don’t want to have your species judged by the actions of a few, remember to extend that courtesy to others.

The Takeaway

One of the big things we’ve learned over the last few years is that, while not human, our As-yet Unseen Friends are people.

• People with feelings. (“We are bored.” Assessenie, Grey One – His words to Mike on meeting him via psychic communication.)
• People with agendas, careers, and goals. (Many of the people we’ve met are highly-trained & skilled professionals in their fields.)
• People with fears. (Assessenie’s colleagues suddenly finding somewhere else urgent to be upon seeing Mike suddenly bi-locate in on their lab.)
• People with families, spouses, children. (Many of our As-yet Unseen Friends have shared with us the existence of their families.)

So, with all that in mind, do I believe that the world is going to end in 2012, or some reasonable facsimile thereof?

Yes.

And no.

I believe that someday soon our world as we currently know it will end.

But not in hellfire & damnation.

I believe that we will be called upon to grow a little, both as individuals & as a species, as we learn that we are not alone in this Universe.

We’ll have to grow up, but that’s not such a bad thing, really.

Because the Universe awaits.

And I, for one, am eager for the change.

At least most of the time.

And when I falter, I remember the experiences we’ve had over the last few years, and the thoughts, hopes, and dreams of things to come, and I am once again flying among the stars.

There’ve been a number of telly programs on the Science channel of late, beginning to talk about one of the many Elephants in the Room: is there other intelligent life out there?

And is it coming to visit us soon?

Like, this year?

Theories abound, each one seeming (until recently) more strident than the last.

You may wonder why Mike & I are choosing to come out now, when we’ve been doing this for a number of years now.

I’ll tell you. :> :>

I’ve been afraid.

Not of our As-yet Unseen Friends, but of my fellow humans.

This is a subject, you see (and hear and feel) that has a great deal of emotion around it.

There are many Elephants in the Room here as well.

Kidnappings.

The inherent softness of psychic communication, at least for those of us here, now.

There is a larger world out there, juuuuuust beyond our reach.

And sometimes bits of it come within our grasp.

But how much of it is ‘real’?

(What is ‘real’?)

We don’t know.

And so, I’ve felt the need to hide what we are, and more importantly, who we’ve been talking with.

But now, with the Spring coming strong, with that underlying sense of urgency that seems to invariably forecast growth, and the focus of humanity turning towards these Questions of ‘What will happen next?’, I’m feeling the need to break the radio silence, to start sharing the stories that we have, that we know.

To share what we’ve learned about our As-yet Unseen Friends.

To share our deepest dream.

(Yes, I’ll be that brave.)

Are you willing to suspend your disbelief for a moment and harbor the thought that maybe, just maybe, we are not alone in this Universe?

Greetings!

This is a post for the ‘Teen Week’ challenge.

Back in the day, I was different.

Clearly different.

My fellows loved me for my brain, would ask me for answers all the time, but friendship?

Forget it.

That hasn’t changed a whole lot over the years.

What HAS changed, however, is my perspective on it.

What HAS changed, is my knowledge around it.

What HAS changed, is my understanding of it.

And that, as they say, has made all the difference.

It’s hard when you’re young, even as you grow into your teen years, because it’s such an awkward in-between mess+mass of frustrations.

You’re expected to start acting like an adult, but you have no clue of what precisely that means, and the answers you do manage to get make no sense to you.

You have to discover your own in self-defense.

And, like all of us, that means making mistakes.

Making revisions.

Sometimes, it means just starting from scratch.

And that can be hard too.

We’re expected, at least in the U.S.A., to somehow be perfect, above the mistakes of mere mortals.

Or something.

Which is, of course, pure waste-material-from-whatever-animal-you-like, but there you go.

Life is about exploring.

Life is about changing.

Life is about growing.

Life is about accepting.

Some things.

Life is about rejecting.

Other things.

And somehow, it seems like you’re supposed to lay the foundations for all of this at a time that is very mixed-up & crazy-making to start with.

AND you’re supposed to do it perfectly.

It’s a wonder any of us make it through our teen years!!!

But we do.

And so can you.

So, there’s hope.

Remember that.

Remember too, that, no matter what the larger society may be saying, it’s NOT about being perfect.

We are starting to remember the beauty that can be found in the small.

Not small minds.

But small businesses, small lives, small things.

Life doesn’t have to be lived large, although it certainly can be.

The biggest thing is to live YOU.

And to remember that YOU change.

And while the biggest clump of changes may be occurring now, as you transition from child to adult, the good-news/bad-news is that this is not the last of them.

Far from it.

There will be moves, job changes, partnering, marriage, children, etc. :> :>

So get used to change.

But also realize that change is your friend.

If something isn’t working for you, then change it!

Change it in the way you can, right here, right now.

Maybe you can’t do it all in one go.

That’s okay.

Do what you can, when you can, with what you’ve got.

And don’t let ANYONE, but anyone, EVER tell you you have to settle for what you can get.

You can ALWAYS invoke change on your behalf.

Remember that.

It’s your salvation in the darkest night and your glory in the brightest day.

Just as the Ugly Duckling was transformed once it realized that it was, in fact, a swan, and small wonder it hadn’t been able to fit in with the ducks, so too, can you become who you are.

It’s not always going to be easy.

I’m not going to kid you.

Sometimes it will be cruel-hard, even.

But it is ALWAYS possible.

One of the perks of membership in the Bold Kitten Community is that you have access to my Guide, Lady Coco.

So now seems like a good time to introduce her and explain why having contact with her is a Good Thing.

Lady Coco is a Soul & a Guide, by which I mean that she is an pan-dimensional being who chooses to help out physical plane beings such as humans. And in her case, she has had lives here on Earth, both as human and other, most notably for our purposes here as a Siamese cat named Coconut.

Coconut was a Lilac-point Siamese ex-show-cat, who was well aware that humans found her beautiful.

For those who remembered to follow Earth-cat Protocol, she was friendly, tho’ not familiar.

To those who did not, she had a long memory and short patience.

For us, however, she treated us with a combination of friendliness and the demand to be adored & pampered, which Mike & I were quite happy to go along with.

I fell hard and when she died after a long illness (before her final illness, she’d had at least one extension granted from Elsewhere), I was devastated to say the least. :>

I spent several years after that in pain & depression from losing her, from losing my Mom, from losing our other kitty, Simba, all in a span of about six months.

I’m not remembering now exactly how it happened, that time is a bit of a blur, but I do remember two things: one, I was told that I would see Coconut again within a couple of years and two, I learned to channel.

I knew she was there as a Guide from before I took formal classes, as I requested her for my first formal Guide.

And things went on from there to here.

One other quick thing before I turn things over to Lady Coco: Coconut as a show-kitty was a momma-cat. :>

So when it comes to kittens, she knows her stuff! :>

Question: What qualities of a bold kitten should humans attempt to emulate?

Lady Coco: The qualities of a kitten, bold or otherwise, that it is helpful to emulate are first & foremost those of Play.

They are not afraid to make mistakes, to look silly, to do something wrong.

They go out, they try something. If they succeed, great.Sometimes there is no-one more surprised than they when they succeed.

If they don’t succeed, they get up, they try again.

No big deal.

They don’t worry about how others will perceive them. (They save that for later in life. As do humans. Something to think about. Can you preserve that childlike desire to Explore?)

They don’t beat themselves up for not getting it right the first time. (Tho’ they do occasionally let their tails start things, but that’s another show. )

They maintain an attitude of Play.

Everything is a Game.

Everything is a potential toy.

EVERYTHING!

(yes, indeed, I am speaking a little bit in my former-to-you role as a physical-plane MommaCat.)

Play is Serious Business to them.

They play, they experiment, to learn the Necessary Skills to be a successful cat, a successful predator

If they don’t learn these skills, they die. (Or they would if they were out in the Wild, where a kyoot kitten face will not get them a full food bowl. )

But they don’t go to school for eight hours a day, sitting up straight and listening to a teacher.

No, they play games with their siblings and with their momma’s tail and they follow her around and learn what she knows to do.

You can learn a lot from that.

Take your learnings as Serious Business that can be accomplished through Play.

Play can be Very Hard Work, as you know. But it is so enjoyable that the work involved is not a burden.

Keep that flexibility that allows you to fail & try again, take the chance of looking foolish, and remain mobile enough in your thinking to look at things from as many sides as it takes to figure them out.

And finally, be bold!

Stick your paw into new things. It’s okay to be cautious if you feel you need to be. Take the time you need to take.

But do it! :>

No-one is of just one Nature.

We all have many Working Parts.

The trick is to bring them into a harmonious Balance, where each part can work together for the good of the whole.

You may be wondering, as I have done over these past few days, how it is that a Bird is becoming the leader of a flock of Kittens.

Think Griffin.

A Griffin is an animal which is part Cat & part Bird. :>

And because of this dual Nature, the Griffin understands both.

While I am predominately Bird in my tendencies, I know too, what it is like to be Cat, so I walk in both worlds.

The Griffin is a fantastic beast, one which does not (yet) occur in Nature.

However, we can learn a lot from Griffin on how to handle a dual Nature and walk simultaneously in seemingly incompatible Worlds.

Bold Kitten Question of the Day: Are there places where you walk in two worlds at once? How can you use the powers of Griffin to help you do so with more ease and grace?

Begin.

Begin where you are.

Don’t wait for the perfect time.

There is no such thing.

There is only now.

This present moment.

And that is enough.

So POUNCE!

Kittens are never still. From the moment they are born, they are on the move.

Stirring from one place to another at the Milk Bar, to leaving the nest on toddle-y legs, to finding the nearest source of trouble and heading towards it with all possible speed, kittens are on the move.

They do not wait to determine the Proper Time.

They do not stop to consider all the minute consequences of their Actions.

They simply go.

There’s something to be learned in that.

There is a time for planning, yes.

But there is also a time to simply go with your gut instinct, that innermost place of Power & Knowing.

Take a leap of faith & let go.

And POUNCE!!!

It’s time.

It’s time to come out of the closet.

It’s time to leave the nest.
