Bold Kitten Bounding Beliefs

Just as countries have a set of beliefs that help the citizens live in accord (or know when it’s time to leave), so do communities.

Here are the Bounding Beliefs of the Bold Kitten Brigade community, the beliefs that we all hold as Truth:

1. It’s okay to be psychic.

No matter what the rest of the world may or may not have to say on the subject, in here, it’s okay to be psychic.

In fact, it’s more than okay, it’s seen as a wondrous + useful thing, handy in so very many ways.

2. It doesn’t matter where you come from. It matters where you’re going.

Faith Path, career choice, gender, sexual orientation, sexual preference, height, weight, ability, disability, etc., don’t matter here.

What matters is where you’re going – onward & upward, with a good heart & an easy Spirit.

3. Show respect for all living things, including yourself. (And be aware that this list is more encompassing than you think!)

As an important side note, Respect doesn’t mean we don’t eat living things. To be here on this Earth, that is just about unavoidable.

What respect means is to acknowledge the innate Person-hood (not human-hood!) of each being, and to show them the appropriate honor & respect.

For human-human interactions, it also means that we laugh with, not at, and that we only give what is asked for.

4. Revel in the positive. Pull up, not down.

Perfection is not required here, but as often as possible, speak, act, & live from as high a place as you can.

Feel free to wait until the appropriate time before reaching back to help others. :> :>

When you do, reach out to help others up, not pull them down.

Again, we are not expecting you to live some kind of Pollyanna-perfect life.

Simply ask yourself this Question: where do you want to live?

5. Life is a Spiral.

This means that we will live certain lessons over & over & over & over.

Except… each time is not exactly the same.

(Hopefully) we’ve learned something each time, and each time we go around, we can interact with the lesson in a more way that reflects that additional-learning.

Because everyone’s Life and everyone’s Learning is different, everyone’s Spiral will be their own Beautiful+Unique shape.

This is all good. :> :-D :>

You control your own rate of climb and that is absolutely as it should be. :-) :>

6. You own your Life.

This means that you & only you own: your Choices, your Decisions, your Experiences, your Stuff, your Worldview.

This also means that all of these are also your responsibility to own & to maintain.

7. Fear is a many-faceted thing, but often is simply a sign that you haven’t been there before.

(Or you have and it wasn’t pretty. :>)

  • It can also be a sign of hitting your Stuff. (see above)
  • It can be a sign of physical danger.

In all of these, fear is a sign of impending Change.

8. Psionics is not about religion or spirituality.

It is a science that is still in the process of being discovered. :> :> :>

Bold Kitten Guide to Community Zen-ification

Birdy here, with a quick list of guidelines for the Bold Kitten Brigade, to keep us purring along and the spats to a minimum.

Bold Kitten Brigade Bylaws & Guide to Community Zen-ification

1. We may be Bold Kittens, but we are also human adults. We pledge to remember this as often as we can manage.

2. Bold Kittens are bold & audacious. This means that we need to remember to make our boundaries clear.

2a. It also means we need to remember to respect the boundaries of others.

Give what we wish to receive, and a’that.

3. Bold Kitten have a lot of wisdom, both individually & collectively. We are also out to Change the World. This means that we tend to have Opinions.

A lot of them.

And THIS means that we need to be Very Clear when asking Qs as to the kind of responses we want, as our fellow Bold Kitttens will have a lot of Opinions which we may or may not be interested in hearing..

  • Do we want Advices?
  • Do we want Cheerleading?
  • Do we just want a friendly ear to Listen Quietly?

Any or all of these are fine.

We just need to remember to define which we want at any given moment.

Communication is key!

4. Bold Kittens are often Headstrong and Firm in their Opinions. This means that we need to think before we speak or type.

  • Is this truly helpful to the person we are interacting with?
  • Is this in reaction to our own stuff, and not about the other person at all?
  • Is this fitting in with what they have asked for in terms of what kind of responses they desire?

Also remember that individuals are just that. Individual. So what WE would want in any given situation may or may not be what THEY would want in any given situation. (Read Pace & Kyeli’s ‘The Usual Error’ for more information & Signs to Watch Out For.)

5. Bold Kittens have done a lot of living. This means that we all have our BattleScars and our Stuff.

5a. We take responsibility for our own Stuff, while remembering to be kind to ourselves about it.

5b. We allow others to have their own Stuff, while remembering that other people’s Stuff is theirs, and nothing to do with us, no matter what it may seem like at the time.

5c. We do our best not to stand, sit, or lay in judgment about other people for their Stuff. We haven’t walked in their shoes at all, we have no clue of where they are coming from, no matter what they’ve chosen to share with us.

6. Bold Kittens have Bold Ideas. This means that many of the Ideas being given Safe Haven here will seem… odd. Out there. Perhaps even a bit zany.

We pledge to support our fellow Bold Kittens as best we can, while remaining true to what is True for us.

We will not stand, sit, nor lie in Judgment about any one else’s Idea, no matter how Out There it may seem to us.

We will remember to say only what we can truly say in support, while being willing to make that effort to find SOMETHING to support a fellow Bold Kitten in need.

7. Bold Kittens have many different Worldviews and understand that there are many different variations on Truth.

We stand firmly in what we believe to be True, while both allowing for change and allowing others to have their Truth as well, even when it differs from ours.

And there you have it, Bold Kittens!

If we can at least remember most of these most of the time, we will all being doing well.

It’s mostly about Respect.

  • Respect for yourself.
  • Respect for others.

Operate from that place of Respect and all will be well.

MommaCat Monday Missive #1: On the Importance of Play

Greetings!

One of the perks of membership in the Bold Kitten Community is that you have access to my Guide, Lady Coco.

So now seems like a good time to introduce her and explain why having contact with her is a Good Thing.

Lady Coco is a Soul & a Guide, by which I mean that she is an pan-dimensional being who chooses to help out physical plane beings such as humans. And in her case, she has had lives here on Earth, both as human and other, most notably for our purposes here as a Siamese cat named Coconut.

Coconut was a Lilac-point Siamese ex-show-cat, who was well aware that humans found her beautiful.

For those who remembered to follow Earth-cat Protocol, she was friendly, tho’ not familiar.

To those who did not, she had a long memory and short patience.

For us, however, she treated us with a combination of friendliness and the demand to be adored & pampered, which Mike & I were quite happy to go along with.

I fell hard and when she died after a long illness (before her final illness, she’d had at least one extension granted from Elsewhere), I was devastated to say the least. :>

I spent several years after that in pain & depression from losing her, from losing my Mom, from losing our other kitty, Simba, all in a span of about six months.

I’m not remembering now exactly how it happened, that time is a bit of a blur, but I do remember two things: one, I was told that I would see Coconut again within a couple of years and two, I learned to channel.

I knew she was there as a Guide from before I took formal classes, as I requested her for my first formal Guide.

And things went on from there to here.

One other quick thing before I turn things over to Lady Coco: Coconut as a show-kitty was a momma-cat. :>

So when it comes to kittens, she knows her stuff! :-D :>

Question: What qualities of a bold kitten should humans attempt to emulate?

Lady Coco: The qualities of a kitten, bold or otherwise, that it is helpful to emulate are first & foremost those of Play.

They are not afraid to make mistakes, to look silly, to do something wrong.

They go out, they try something. If they succeed, great.Sometimes there is no-one more surprised than they when they succeed.

If they don’t succeed, they get up, they try again.

No big deal.

They don’t worry about how others will perceive them. (They save that for later in life. As do humans. Something to think about. Can you preserve that childlike desire to Explore?)

They don’t beat themselves up for not getting it right the first time. (Tho’ they do occasionally let their tails start things, but that’s another show. :-D )

They maintain an attitude of Play.

Everything is a Game.

Everything is a potential toy.

EVERYTHING! :-D

(yes, indeed, I am speaking a little bit in my former-to-you role as a physical-plane MommaCat.)

Play is Serious Business to them.

They play, they experiment, to learn the Necessary Skills to be a successful cat, a successful predator

If they don’t learn these skills, they die. (Or they would if they were out in the Wild, where a kyoot kitten face will not get them a full food bowl. :-D )

But they don’t go to school for eight hours a day, sitting up straight and listening to a teacher.

No, they play games with their siblings and with their momma’s tail and they follow her around and learn what she knows to do.

You can learn a lot from that.

Take your learnings as Serious Business that can be accomplished through Play.

Play can be Very Hard Work, as you know. But it is so enjoyable that the work involved is not a burden.

Keep that flexibility that allows you to fail & try again, take the chance of looking foolish, and remain mobile enough in your thinking to look at things from as many sides as it takes to figure them out.

And finally, be bold! :-)

Stick your paw into new things. It’s okay to be cautious if you feel you need to be. Take the time you need to take.

But do it! :>

Bold Kitten Book of Days: Walking in Two Worlds

Greetings!

No-one is of just one Nature.

We all have many Working Parts.

The trick is to bring them into a harmonious Balance, where each part can work together for the good of the whole.

You may be wondering, as I have done over these past few days, how it is that a Bird is becoming the leader of a flock of Kittens.

Think Griffin.

A Griffin is an animal which is part Cat & part Bird. :>

And because of this dual Nature, the Griffin understands both.

While I am predominately Bird in my tendencies, I know too, what it is like to be Cat, so I walk in both worlds.

The Griffin is a fantastic beast, one which does not (yet) occur in Nature.

However, we can learn a lot from Griffin on how to handle a dual Nature and walk simultaneously in seemingly incompatible Worlds.

Bold Kitten Book of Days – Beginnings

Greetings!

Begin.

Begin where you are.

Don’t wait for the perfect time.

There is no such thing.

There is only now.

This present moment.

And that is enough.

So POUNCE! :-D

Kittens are never still. From the moment they are born, they are on the move.

Stirring from one place to another at the Milk Bar, to leaving the nest on toddle-y legs, to finding the nearest source of trouble and heading towards it with all possible speed, kittens are on the move.

They do not wait to determine the Proper Time.

They do not stop to consider all the minute consequences of their Actions.

They simply go.

There’s something to be learned in that.

There is a time for planning, yes.

But there is also a time to simply go with your gut instinct, that innermost place of Power & Knowing.

Take a leap of faith & let go.

And POUNCE!!! :-D

I have some good feedback.

I feel good about taking action.

And I even have some good ideas on What to Do Next.

It’s time.

It’s time to come out of the closet.

It’s time to leave the nest.

It’s time to fly!

It’s time to POUNCE! :-)
